when I'm finding it hard to write.
My heart says I can still do it,
but my brain puts up a fight.
I've had lots of goes at rhyming,
and a few attempts at blank verse,
but I'm not getting any better,
if owt I'm just getting worse.
What happened to all those words,
that used to pour out day after day?
I know they are somewhere inside me,
but they keep coming out the wrong way.
When I try to think of something,
my head just goes in a trance.
I'm not asking for a miracle,
all I want is a fighting chance.
The one eyed,one legged Goblin,
tried to help me end my drought.
He cast a spell and I opened my mouth,
but sweet sod all came out
To those who know and love me,
I apologise for the blank,
but I'll keep trying and maybe one day,
I'll get rid of this bloody tank.
