A Shakespeare Classic(great lover of grandfather/longcase/tallcase clocks)  (July 2004)
Many years ago there lived a young man named William Shakespeare who had a passion for writing.Although he had produced many works,he had not yet unearthed those magic few words or that special line, that would elevate him to the elite. Thus he remained undiscovered.
As well as a passion for writing,William also had a passion for the ladies, and unbeknown to each, courted two at the same time. One ate little and was small and skinny, whilst the other ate much and was huge and stout. The ladies used to visit William's house on alternate evenings.Unfortunately for William, one night one of the ladies got her dates mixed and both of them appeared at his door at the same time. Most vexed, they hurled abuse at William and demanded that he choose between them.William studied them both carefully,
one of them small and thin, the other, huge and stout. He then, finally, uttered the words that were to launch his career and turn him into a legend
"Tubby or not tubby, fat is the question"
