John's original poems
<< March 2003 | poems index | clock poem | May 2003 >>BABY BLUES(the baby has no grandfather/longcase/tallcase clocks!) (April 2003)I waited for you my love, after school, at the bottom of the field, behind the Scout Hut, but you did not come.
And I was in a loving mood, but still you did not come.
So I whistled your favourite tune and called out your name "JENNY, JENNY, JENNY" But still you did not come.
So I got angry and wrote "SHIT! I HATE YOU!" on the Scout Hut door, but still, you did not come.
All I had for company was an old worn out tyre, and I was in a loving mood, so I touched it, kissed it, caressed it, and made love to it with passion.
And now I will father bouncing rubber babies and have to live with a deflated ego, and all because, my love, you did not come.
