CIRCA 1780. 13" Brass arch dial with Regulator dial and pendulum.There is a good quality painting on the pendulum bob.The trunk has glass in the door so that the pendulum can be seen as it swings.There is an automatum in the arch comprising a girl on a swing,she swings back and forth as the pendulum ticks.The four seasons are in the corners of the dial and the figured mhogany case is beautifully inlaid with satinwood.There are full cluster columns to the hood and the trunk and the original ornate, very rare finials, still sit proudly on top of the hood. This is an outstanding clock and one of the best to come into my possession.It is well worth viewing.
