Circa 1790 12" brass arch dial with rolling moon phases,subsiduary seconds dial and date aperture.Strikes the quarter hours on two bells.Four seasons spandrels at corners.Totally outstanding fiddle back maple case profusely inlaid with shells,musical instruments,roman legion emblems and a vase in base.The full length trunk door has free standing reeded corinthian columns to the sides.There are double reeded corinthian columns with brass capitals to the front and sides of the hood and Exquisite dental moulding at the top. In my opinion, this clock is unique.It has to be seen to be believed,a real one off beauty. Height is 7'11"(241 cms.) Circa 1785 13" brass arch dial with rolling moon phases,subsiduary seconds dial and centre date hand.Wonderul figured mahogany case with reeded quarter columns to sides of trunk,dental moulding,blind fretwork and painted glass panels to top of hood. This maker is probably Thomas Green who,after marrying his sister was taken into partnership with the eminent maker John Wyke from 1774 to 1782 after which time John Wyke retired and Thomas continued on his own. Circa 1780.12" painted automatum arch dial,with subsiduary date dial,showing two moving black figures playing badminton in arch.Arms and bats move back and forth with ticking of clock.Sweet mahogany case crossbanded in mahogany and inlaid with boxwood stringing.
